Cornerstone Community Financial Credit Union Official Rules:

 

Sponsor

The “CORE Youth Account Giveaway” (“Contest”) is sponsored by Cornerstone Community Financial (“CCF”).

No Purchase Necessary

No purchase or payment of any kind is necessary to enter or win. A purchase will not increase your chances of winning.

Agreement to Official Rules

By participating in the Contest, participants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of CCF, which are final and binding in all matters relating to the Contest.

Eligibility

The Contest is open to legal U.S. residents who are 24 years of age or younger at the time of entry. Employees, officers, and members of the Board of Directors of CCF, as well as their immediate family members (including spouse, domestic or civil union partner, parents, grandparents, children, siblings, and in-laws), are not eligible to participate.

The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited by law. Membership in CCF is not required to enter or win.

Contest Period

The Contest begins on January 1, 2026, and ends on December 31, 2026 (“Contest Period”).

How to Enter

Eligible individuals may enter the Contest in one of the following ways:

  1. Automatic Entry:
    Open a Youth Savings Account, Youth High-Yield Savings Account, or Young Adult High-Yield Savings Account during the Contest Period.

  2. Mail-In Entry (No Account Required):
    Mail a postcard including the entrant’s full name, age, email address, phone number, and residential address to:

Limit one (1) entry per person. Multiple account openings or multiple mail-in entries will not increase the chances of winning.

Prize

One (1) winner will receive one Apple iPad (“Prize”). The specific model and configuration will be determined by CCF in its sole discretion. The Prize is non-transferable and may not be substituted or exchanged, except that CCF reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the advertised Prize becomes unavailable.

If the selected winner is under the age of 18, the Prize will only be awarded upon execution of a release form by the winner’s legal guardian.

Winner Selection and Notification

One (1) winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries on or about January 10, 2027. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received during the Contest Period.

The potential winner will be notified via email within thirty (30) days of selection. If a selected winner cannot be contacted, is found to be ineligible, or fails to claim the Prize within thirty (30) days of notification, the Prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner selected.

Winners are responsible for any and all federal, state, and local taxes associated with receipt of the Prize.

Publicity Authorization

Except where prohibited by law, participation in the Contest constitutes permission for CCF to use a participant’s name, city and state of residence, photograph, voice, likeness, and biographical information for advertising, promotional, or trade purposes in any media, worldwide, in perpetuity, without additional notice or compensation.

Prize winners acknowledge that their name and Prize information may be disclosed upon request.

Conditions of Participation

CCF reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, suspend, modify, or terminate the Contest if fraud, technical failures, tampering, or any other factor beyond CCF’s reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Contest.

CCF further reserves the right to disqualify any individual found to be tampering with the entry process or acting in violation of these Official Rules. Failure to enforce any provision of these Official Rules does not constitute a waiver of that provision.

Release and Hold Harmless

By entering the Contest and/or accepting a Prize, participants agree to release and hold harmless CCF and its officers, directors, employees, representatives, and agents from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses arising from participation in the Contest or acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any Prize, including but not limited to claims related to personal injury, property damage, publicity rights, or privacy rights.

Limitation of Liability

In no event shall CCF or its representatives be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising out of participation in the Contest or use of the Prize.

Use of Data

All information submitted in connection with the Contest will be handled in accordance with CCF’s Privacy Policy, available at:

Governing Law

All issues and questions concerning the Contest and these Official Rules shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Michigan and applicable federal law.
