At Cornerstone, we believe it’s our mission to create a safe and inclusive space for everyone. From our employees to our board members to our members and the community, Cornerstone has always been and always will be an institution that supports diversity, inclusion, and doing what is right. Welcoming diversity and pursuing dynamically different people and perspectives has been the foundation that has sustained us for over 70 years.
We take pride in being an honest institution that has strong moral principles; one that always puts members best interests in the forefront of our actions and decisions. We support our local communities by way of donations and sponsorships, and by volunteering our time to support other organizations trying to make our communities a better place to live and work.
We want our local communities to grow and thrive, which is why Cornerstone invests in the cities we call home. From children's hospitals to community centers, you can find Cornerstone's team members there, making a difference.

Cornerstone proudly celebrated the 10th anniversary of our annual Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month toy drive. Our 2025 campaign, Magical Moments, was a milestone event that brought together the community to support children fighting cancer.
We set out with a goal to collect 1,000 magical toys inspired by stories like Harry Potter, Frozen, Wicked, Star Wars, and more. Thanks to your incredible generosity, we not only reached our goal, we surpassed it by nearly 40%!

In 2019, Children's Hospital of Michigan was part of a pilot program allowing children to drive into surgery and other procedures on mini ride-on cruisers, controlled by a parent or nurse. This made a scary transition more relaxed and fun, leading to lower anxiety for pediatric patients. CCF donated 21 ride-on cruisers to the local children's hospitals.

Our second teddy bear drive brought in more than 300 teddy bears and other stuffed animals for pediatric cancer patients. Freddy the Teddy's appearance on the news brought in donations from all around the metro Detroit area.
