Cornerstone’s CORE Youth Accounts (and a little help from parents) can teach them to save consistently, spend wisely, and give back to the community. Cornerstone has account options for every age, from cradle to college.

CORE KID (Ages 0-12)
Put a credit union in their corner from day one with a CORE Youth Savings account.

FUN REWARDS:
  • Birthday Gifts: CORE Kids receive a gift in the mail during their birthday month.
  • Savings Punch Card: Every deposit earns a punch, every 10th punch earns a reward, up to 3x per year.
  • Good Grade Rewards: Get an A or B on a report card? CORE members can bring in their report cards to any CCF branch to receive two (2) entries for A's and one (1) entry for B's.
  • EverFI CoursesThese quick, free online classes teach kids about finances. For every class completed, members receive one entry into quarterly prize drawings.

In addition to getting all the fun rewards and free services available to CORE Kid members, CORE Teens can take advantage of these benefits:

  • CORE Reward Checking: Starting at age 13, teens can learn to use a Debit Card, pay bills and manage funds while earning 2.02% APY* on their deposits. All with no minimum balance or monthly fees. 
  • As a joint account holder, parents/guardians are able to see everything that goes on in the account, as well as set age-appropriate limits on spending and withdrawals.
    • Your teen can stack the savings with Reward Checking and CCF's Round-Up Reward program! 
    • With CCF's Mobile Banking App, you can track your teen’s spending, tag/comment on purchases and share receipts.



  • CORE Credit Card: With reasonable limits, low interest and no annual fee, a CORE Credit Card is a great way to learn responsible credit card use. Parents/guardians are joint account owners, so spending can be monitored.

Quarterly Giveaways

Each quarter, CCF will have one prize for CORE Kids and one prize for CORE Teens. All throughout the year, CORE members have plenty of opportunities to earn entries to win.

HOW TO EARN ENTRIES:

  • Taking EverFi coursesFor each financial education course completed, CORE members receive one entry.
  • Good Grade Rewards: Get an A or B on a report card? CORE members can bring in their report cards to any CCF branch to receive two (2) entries for A's and one (1) entry for B's.
  • Volunteer in the Community: Core Members can receive one entry for every hour they volunteered.
  • Every CORE member receives two free entries in their welcome packet.
ROLL YOUR ENTRIES OVER EACH QUARTER
You can win once per year, and entries roll over from quarter to quarter. If you don’t win, you have more and more chances to win each quarter.

BIG TICKET GIVEAWAY OR CHOOSE CASH
The giveaways change each quarter — bikes, GoPro® cameras, headphones, gaming systems, Legos® , and more. If you don't
like the giveaway that you win, you can always opt for $100 in cold, hard cash.

Community Champion Scholarship Program

The CCF Community Champion Scholarship Program was created to provide financial support to student members with demonstrated financial need who achieve academic excellence and contribute to the community in which they live.

CCF will award one $2,500 scholarship, one $1,500 scholarship and one $1,000 scholarship for the 2022/2023 school year to qualified applicants.

  • Applicants must have a CCF account in good standing, having joined CCF by April 30.
  • Applicants must be a graduating high school senior or an undergraduate student enrolled in an accredited Michigan or Ohio junior college, college, university or trade school.
  • Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent resident alien cardholders.
  • Applicants who are high school seniors must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average. Applicants who are college students must have a cumulative 2.7 grade point average.
